the clock

Pug has a huge fear and it comes on Sunday evenings at 6:00 pm central time.

60 Minutes.

It sends him into full panic mode where he runs around like a crazed pug barking endlessly.

At first I thought it might be Andy Rooney's eyebrows because those are panic worthy, but no it's the ticking clock.

The clock in between commericals drives him wild.

It's sad, but really fun all at the same time.

Does anyone else have a pet that does quirky stuff?

Or is it just mine.

I think it's just mine.

My cat Boo is strange:) Plain and simple!
She has this thing where before she drink water, she gets her paw and touches the surface to make sure its there. She can see it just fine!
She also likes to lay down on anything I am doing on the floor, whether it be HW, bible studies, anything..she has to sleep on it, to keep me from working!

Oh my goodness!
We have a Lahsa Apson, Bradyn and a Maltese Dakota. Bradyn does not do anything like this, but Dakota is a different story! He is terrified of thunderstorms or noises that our computers make when they are re-booting! It is so crazy! We have started giving him storm anxiety meds as he just has like a panic attack~

My Westie watches TV, and if there is any animal on there she growls a little or whimpers and then charges at the TV! Ross' monkey on "Friends" is the worst!! She hates that thing!
Our entertainment center has scratches from where she has jumped up trying to attack whatever is on TV!

I can't remember how I found your blog but I love it!
We cannot watch "Wheel of Fortune" with my pug in the room because everytime Vanna turns a letter utter chaos ensues because she thinks someone is at the door!
Also, if she sees a dog bigger than herself(which is most) she sounds like the DEVIL. Something wells up inside her and the MOST AWFUL noises come from her mouth. It is hilarious, but is getting very embarrasing in my neighborhood!

We have to shut the bathroom door because Dahlia insists on sitting on a lap anytime it's made. Including if you're sitting on the pot.

She's always crazy though!!

My doxies do many quirky things. Our favorite is what happens when someone comes to the front door. We usually grab each dog and throw them in a bedroom behind a closed door because they do not behave when company comes. Once the intruder has left; we open the door and let the dogs out. Oh.My.Goodness. is that a funny sight to behold. They take off out of the bedroom snarling and barking as they head towards the front door, gathering speed as they go. They then hit the hardwood floor of the entry way and slide and skid their way into the rug which gets shoved up against the closed front door. The guard doxies then turn around and bark like they are saying, "Ah ha! Good riddance!" and calmly wander over to the couch to sit down and go back to sleep.

Horses! One of my pugs, Romeo goes crazy whenever there is a horse on TV. Since we are from MD it makes watching the Preakness hard!
